Producer, Director, Cinematographer, Bluebird Man
Bluebird Man (2014), a half hour documentary about Al Larson, a now 100-year-old citizen scientist who spent 40 years monitoring and maintaining over 300 nest boxes for bluebirds across Southwest Idaho.
This award-winning short film was independently produced with a two-person crew. In addition to serving as the film’s producer, director, and cinematographer, I also managed the film’s marketing and promotional campaign, and served as our distribution agent. Bluebird Man had a national PBS broadcast and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2014. Watch the full film here.
